flower girl baskets - including children in the wedding ceremony
Flower girls have been used in processionals for centuries as symbols of innocence and youth. You can have one or more flower girls in your wedding. The flower girl walks behind the bridesmaids and directly in front of the bride spreading flower petals for the bride to walk on. Flower girls are usually between the ages of 6-10.A Wedding Ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to include children. If you or your fiancee have a niece, or a young cousin,Sheath Wedding Dress, or a friends' child, or especially a child from a former marriage, this is a lovely and easy way to include them. The role is important and requires no speaking so can be done by even the shyest of children. To make this an enjoyable experience for all, here are three tips I have found useful in having children as flower girls.1. Attire: Flower girls usually wear simple party dresses in white or other light colors with accents in colors to match the bridesmaids. They can have tiaras or flower wreaths in their hair.2. Flower Girl Baskets: They should be small enough so that the child can easily hold it, but deep enough to hold a good number of petals. Many brides make a gift of the flower girl basket to the young girl which becomes a treasured keepsake and reminder of this wonderful event.3. Processional and Recessional: The Flower Girl should be present at the rehearsal so she can practice walking in and out to the music. Sometimes it is hard for children to understand how to scatter the petals so you should plan to rehearse with actual petals. If she is very young,Wedding Shoes, have one the parents at the back in the last row, inside aisle, guiding her in the beginning and the other parent at the front end so she can see where she is to go to.Remember that people love flower girls so no matter what she does, it will be charming!
